Florida dental implant costs follow service prices that are about 1% above the US average. Under the law set in 2016, most Florida Medicaid Dental members get their dental care from a dental plan. The dental program operates within Statewide Medicaid Managed Care. Simply put, a health plan manages your care. Dentures and related denture work are covered for adults 21 and older. Emergency care is also covered to relieve tooth pain or infection. No benefit group or yearly dollar cap is stated for adults. Florida state rules don't list implants as an adult benefit. Implants aren't listed as a covered service, so check with the plan about what it pays.
For lower-cost care, you can also look for a dental school clinic. Patients can receive implants through the University of Florida College of Dentistry (Center for Implant Dentistry). In 1999, this implant center opened to serve patients. Staff from many fields come together for research, training programs, and care of people who need dental implants. The team examines your mouth and plans all of your care. Before surgery, we suggest checking your dentist's license online. You can use the Florida Board of Dentistry's online license lookup tool on your phone. Every state dentist appears in that tool.
